Wisconsin lost one of its top linebackers to the transfer portal Wednesday afternoon.
Jordan Turner is the player in question. Turner, a redshirt junior, becomes the 7th Wisconsin player to hit the transfer portal since it opened on Dec. 4.
Turner was the Badgers’ 3rd-leading tackler this past season, finishing with 61 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks and a pair of pass deflections. In 2022, Turner finished with 68 tackles, 5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks as the team’s 2nd leading tackler.

Turner enters the portal with just 1 season of eligibility remaining. He’s only one of Wisconsin’s top linebackers who will not return next season, joining Maema Njongmeta, who is out of eligibility.
Turner was originally a member of Wisconsin’s 2020 recruiting class as a 3-star prospect. He chose the Badgers over offers from Michigan State, Michigan, Northwestern, Rutgers and Cincinnati.
