Steele Chambers, Ohio State’s leading tackler, confirms 2024 plans

Steele Chambers has wrapped up his time in Columbus with the end of the 2023 season.
A key linebacker for Ohio State, Chambers confirmed in a note on social media that he is leaving the program to pursue the 2024 NFL Draft. Originally a member of the 2019 recruiting class, Chambers had an extra year of eligibility available due to COVID, but he will head to the NFL instead.
“Most importantly, I want to thank my teammates, the warriors I went to battle with day in and day out,” wrote Chambers. “Without this Brotherhood, I would not be here today. You are the reason I continue.
“After many conversations with my family, I have decided to declare for the NFL Draft. A Buckeye for life!”

Chambers finished the 2023 season as Ohio State’s leading tackler with 83, beating out Tommy Eichenberg for the honor by 1 tackle. He also had an interception and pass breakup this season.
Throughout his career, Chambers produced 208 total tackles and 4 interceptions as a major piece of the defense in the past 3 seasons.
