Ohio State attracted Texas native Devin Sanchez to Columbus as he verbally committed to the Buckeyes at the All-American Bowl on Saturday.
Sanchez is a 5-star corner out of Houston (TX) North Shore. The 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 2 CB and No. 2 prospect out of Texas in the 2025 class. He picked the Buckeyes over the likes of Alabama and Texas A&M. Sanchez comes in at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds.

This isn’t the 1st verbal commit at CB for Ohio State in the 2025 class. The Buckeyes also have a pledge from 4-star CB Blake Woodby. However, Sanchez is the 1st 5-star to pick Ohio State from the class. The B1G offers which Sanchez received included Michigan, Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, USC, and Washington.
The recent Ohio State pledge isn’t just a football player. He also runs track for North Shore, participating in events such as the 100-meter dash. Here’s a highlight tape of Sanchez from his junior season at North Shore:
