Michigan fans partied like it was 1997 on Monday night after the national championship win.
Mr. Brightside by The Killers rang out in the streets of Ann Arbor after Michigan beat Washington 34-13. The streets were flooded with fans. There are very few things that compare to winning a national championship in college football.

Fireworks don’t only belong in July for Michigan fans. Someone started setting them off in Ann Arbor shortly after the massive win for the program. There’s no telling how long the celebrations in Ann Arbor went into the night.

In a rematch of the 1992 Rose Bowl, Michigan came out on top. The Wolverines avenged the 34-14 loss that Michigan team suffered back then. The score was eerily similar this time around, as Michigan beat the Huskies 34-13. History seems to repeat itself in the strangest of ways, except this time Michigan will be written as the victor.
The Wolverines ran the ball with little to no resistance against the Washington run defense. Michigan finished with 443 total yards and 303 of them came on the ground. Both Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards finished with more than 100 yards rushing and 4 combined scores.
The fans in Ann Arbor will remember this win for a long time as the program brings home its 1st national title since 1997.
