Caitlin Clark made history during No. 3 Iowa’s 110-74 win over Northwestern on Wednesday night. The Hawkeye superstar is now the Big Ten’s all-time leading scorer.

Clark entered the game with 3,389 career points. She didn’t need long to move ahead of former Missouri State standout Jackie Stiles (3,393 career points) and Ohio State great Kelsey Mitchell (3,402 points). When Clark scored career point 3,403 in the second quarter, she captured the B1G record.

Only Washington’s Kelsey Plum (3,527 points) is left to catch for the women’s DI all-time record. Clark sits at 3,424 entering February.

In her postgame press conference, Clark shared that during the game she wasn’t aware of when she had passed Mitchell for the B1G record.

“The coolest thing is just the names I get to be around,” Clark said. “Those are people I grew up watching, especially Kelsey Plum, Brittney Griner, Kelsey Mitchell, those are really, really good players, people that are still playing our game at the very highest level, people that you watch night in and night out.

“Just special for me to be in the same area as them.”

The Hawkeyes are on the road Saturday, facing Maryland (8 p.m.  ET, FOX).
