Bill Moos provides update on Nebraska’s annual Black Friday game

Moving the annual Nebraska-Iowa game away from the Friday after Thanksgiving was a huge mistake, according to AD Bill Moos. Immediately upon arriving in Lincoln, that was something the Nebraska administrator hoped to rectify for the Cornhuskers.
Instead of scheduling Iowa at the end of the season, the school’s former AD switched Nebraska’s opponent to Minnesota. That move was an unacceptable decision, according to Moos. The AD offered up his thoughts on bringing back the Iowa game to that Friday on the Husker Sports Network.
“When I got here there were a couple things that I went right, straight to and that was Black Friday and to secure the rivalry with Iowa,” Moos recently said according to Chris Heady of the World-Herald News Service. “That will be scheduled long after I’m gone. And I mean, on the face of the Earth.”
Moos indicated that nothing could be done about the Minnesota games but once they come to a conclusion, Iowa will be back on the docket to end the regular season on an annual basis for Nebraska.
“And then we go into the Iowa series from then on out,” Moos said.
