When a coaching change occurs, player turnover is inevitable and the latest example of that comes from Nebraska linebacker Willie Hampton. The Cornhuskers have granted Hampton his release.

Hampton signed with Nebraska in 2017 and is joined by his former teammate Andrew Ward as a linebacker that has left the program. Hampton never saw the field for the Cornhuskers in a regulation game.
