The news of the death of Jordan McNair sent shockwaves through the Maryland community on Wednesday.
The Terps offensive lineman lost his life after he needed a liver transplant following a recent workout. Many people in the college football/DMV community shared their condolences on social media.
That included Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh, who started his Thursday availability with the media to send his condolences to the McNair family.
“Before we go into questions, I just want to express, for Jordan McNair and his family, our condolences and our prayers,” Harbaugh said. “I heard a little about it this morning…I have no idea why these things happen. I hope we learn to understand them better for our sport, and all sports, especially the ones that play in the heat.
“From everything that I’ve been told, just a wonderful young man with a great family. Our hearts go out to them.”
