Former Penn State RB Saquon Barkley was one of the few remaining first-round picks who had yet to sign a rookie contract entering Sunday, but that all changed.
Now, the ex-Nittany Lion is a multi-millionaire, having signed his four-year deal on Sunday afternoon, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Per Rapoport, Barkley’s four-year rookie contract is worth a guaranteed $31.2 million, with a $20.76 million signing bonus:
The #Giants have agreed to terms with first-round RB Saquon Barkley on his four-year, fully guaranteed contract worth $31.2M, source says. He has a $20.76M signing bonus with $15M paid out immediately — the most in several years. He gets the rest by October. Rookies report today.

Since rookies report to Giants’ camp today, this comes just in time for New York, a team trying to rebuild after a disastrous 2017 season.
Barkley’s wallet is much heavier now, as he received $15 million immediately, and now he’ll have to live up to that deal on the field. Based on the work he’s been putting in this offseason, he should be up for the challenge.
