Tragedy struck in the worst way imaginable two years ago.
On July 23, 2016, Two Big Ten punters, Nebraska’s Sam Foltz and Michigan State’s Mike Sadler, were killed in a car accident near Waukesha, Wisconsin. The two were traveling home after spending time as instructors at Kohl’s Kicking Camp when the car struck a tree.
Foltz was 22 and Sadler was 24.
Monday, ahead of B1G Media Days, Big Ten Network honored both former Big Ten punters with video tributes that were posted on Twitter.
