NBC Sports is gearing up for another season of “Big Ten Saturday Night,” and the broadcasts for the first 2 weeks have been confirmed.

On Monday, NBC confirmed the network will air the reigning national champions in the season opener with Michigan facing Fresno State. That game is set for 7:30 pm ET on Aug. 31 to start the season.

Michigan will also be on national TV in Week 2. It was previously confirmed that the game against Texas will serve as FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff game on Sept. 7.

In Week 2, NBC will be in Lincoln for the rivalry matchup between Colorado and Nebraska. The Buffs won last year’s game in the first showdown between Deion Sanders and Matt Rhule, but the Huskers will be looking for revenge inside Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is also set for 7:30 pm ET on Sept. 7.

Early outlook

DraftKings has set the early line for Michigan vs. Fresno State with the Wolverines at -22. The Bulldogs hail from the Mountain West Conference, but Fresno State has been no slouch in recent history.

In the past 3 seasons, Fresno State is 29-11 overall and is 19-8 under Jeff Tedford the past 2 seasons. Considering the kind of roster and coaching turnover at Michigan, that number looks a bit high for Sherrone Moore’s first game as the permanent head coach in Ann Arbor.

As for Colorado vs. Nebraska, the Huskers have opened as a 6.5-point favorite per DraftKings. While the Buffs won the 2023 matchup, Nebraska has appeared to make major strides in the offseason, including adding 5-star quarterback Dylan Raiola in recruiting.

Considering the drama surrounding last year’s matchup, a visit from Coach Prime and Colorado will be a big-time early season game for Nebraska.
