Urban Meyer has named Brian Hartline Ohio State’s interim wide receivers coach.
Hartline’s new role replaces Zach Smith, who was fired earlier this week after two reports of alleged domestic violence and a criminal trespassing charged surfaced on Monday.
Hartline, of course, played for the Buckeyes and was the most popular candidate to replace Smith. He spent some time in the NFL before joining Meyer’s staff in Columbus as a quality control assistant.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see if Meyer names Hartline the permanent assistant to coach the position.
#OhioState has named former NFL WR Brian Hartline as interim wide receivers coach, replacing Zach Smith who was fired earlier this week. Hartline has been on the staff for awhile and is very well regarded.
