Cormontae Hamilton was determined to attend camp at Ohio State last month. It’s a big reason behind why he’s the newest Buckeyes commitment.
In a video interview with Jessica Benson of ABC Memphis, Hamilton describes how he was determined to attend OSU’s camp despite the fact his only way of getting there was by a bus ride and he had an injured shoulder. Hamilton was still encouraged to attend despite the injury, so he took the bus ride from Memphis to Columbus (12 hours each way) and made it to camp. Once there, he told the coaches he was ready to “rock and roll” and would do as much as he could.
Hamilton’s determination to get to camp and participate made a positive impression on Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes staff. It helped land Hamilton an offer and now he’s an OSU commit.
Hamilton tells the full backstory in the interview clip below.
