Former 4-star RB transferring from Michigan

A former 4-star running back and one of the top prospects of the 2016 recruiting class is leaving Michigan.
Kareem Walker, who was previously rated as one of the top running backs of his recruiting class, is headed to the junior college ranks this seasons, according to the Detroit Free Press. He is headed to Fort Scott Community College in Kansas.
The announcement came from Fort Scott head coach Kale Pick, who told reporters that Walker signed on Friday.
Walker sat out his first season at Michigan due to academic issues but was able to suit up for the Wolverines last fall. He had 68 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries for Michigan. He appeared in just five games.
Walker was a member of Michigan’s eighth-ranked recruiting class in 2016. He was ranked as the fourth-best running back in the class.
He chose Michigan over 22 other offers, including Alabama, Ohio State, Penn State Auburn, Clemson, Notre Dame and Miami.
