Penn State took care of business on the road in Week 1, taking down West Virginia by a score of 34-12.

On Sunday, feeling good after a win, the Nittany Lions posted a highlight reel of the game on social media.

Even with a lengthy lightning delay, nothing could stop the Nittany Lions’ momentum. Drew Allar had an impressive performance, throwing for 216 yards and 3 TDs. The QB also rushed 6 times for 44 yards. Backup QB Beau Pribula even got in on the fun, completing his only pass for a 19-yard score.

Nicholas Singleton also impressed on the ground, taking 13 carries for 114 yards and a score. Harrison Wallace III, meanwhile, had a huge game through the air, ending with 5 catches for 117 yards and 2 TDs.

On defense, the Nittany Lions never allowed the Mountaineers to gain any serious momentum. The Mountaineers finished the day with just 246 total yards of offense and allowed 2 sacks and 6 tackles for loss. The Nittany Lion defense also forced 1 INT and recovered 2 fumbles. Kevin Winston Jr. was a huge part of the defense, racking up a game-high 12 tackles.

It was a great start to a 2024 season that has sky-high expectations for the Nittany Lions. The team will next have a couple of games against MAC teams before B1G play begins in Week 4 with a matchup against Illinois.

After opening conference play against the Fighting Illini, the Nittany Lions will take on UCLA and USC before another bye week in Week 7.
