On Tuesday morning, news broke that Iowa safety Brandon Snyder was transferring out of the program in search of more playing time after three seasons with the Hawkeyes.

Now, it appears that Snyder has made a decision regarding his future and where he’ll spend his final season as a college football player.

According to Chad Leistikow, a reporter for the Des Moines Register, Snyder is headed to South Dakota State, a traditional power at the FCS level. He will be moving on as a graduate transfer.

Snyder battled two ACL injuries in 2017, hindering his ability to get on the field. He played in just one game, recording a pick-six and three tackles against Illinois. In three seasons with the Hawkeyes, Snyder recorded 99 tackles and four interceptions.

Last year, South Dakota State finished the year 11-3 and lost to James Madison in the semifinal game of the FCS Playoffs.

Snyder will be eligible immediately.
