Scott Frost: Nebraska has ‘a lot of ground to make up’

Nebraska is beginning a new era under head coach Scott Frost.
As the Cornhuskers are embarking on their first season under Frost, he recently said in an interview with Huskers.com that he is pleased with how the start of fall camp has gone:
“Energy’s been good, enthusiasm’s been really good,” said Frost. “The guys are willing to do what we ask them, it’s just a matter of us making sure they know what we expect of them.”
Frost arrived at Nebraska after putting up impressive numbers at UCF, but he now faces the task of turning around a team that finished 4-8 in 2017 with a 3-6 record in Big 10 play. Frost did not shy away from the task ahead and pointed out that the margin for error at Nebraska is very slim:
“Listen, we weren’t one of the top teams in the Big 10 last year,” Frost explained, “so we have a lot of ground to make up. We don’t have time for a bad day.”
Nebraska will look to keep that momentum going in fall camp as they continue to prepare for the upcoming season. The Huskers will kick off the 2018 season on September 1 against Akron.
