Mark Dantonio asked about Urban Meyer, Ohio State situation at media day

Nearly every B1G coach is going to be asked to give their thoughts on Urban Meyer and the situation at Ohio State. It’s pretty likely that all of those coaches that are asked will decline to make a comment.
That was the scenario in East Lansing on Monday, as Michigan State’s Mark Dantonio took the podium for the team’s media day.
Dantonio was asked for his thoughts on Meyer and the ongoing investigation at Ohio State. Dantonio declined to comment directly on the situation, but did make a general comment on a coach’s responsibility when it comes to violence against women.

Dantonio declines to comment about the Ohio State situation but says whenever a coach hears about a situation involving violence against women, the responsibility is to alert others. "It's something that cannot be tolerated."

Dantonio’s comment was interesting to make considering the situation that surrounded Michigan State last spring. The Spartans’ head coach was accused of mishandling sexual assault allegations involving members of the football team.
Dantonio denied the allegations, claiming they were “completely false.”
Meyer is currently on administrative leave while Ohio State investigates the situation relating to the head coach’s knowledge and involvement in the domestic violence allegations against former assistant coach Zach Smith.
