Nick Bosa is known more for his ability to get to the opposing quarterback more than he is for his ability to intercept the football. In fact, he came into the San Francisco 49ers’ Week 5 game against the Arizona Cardinals with just one INT in his professional career.

Make that 2 interceptions. With 2 minutes to play in the 2nd quarter, Cardinals quarterback tried a screen pass to his right, but it was instead picked off by Bosa, who took it 30 yards to the Arizona 40.

Here’s video of the interception:

To put a few things into perspective, Bosa hadn’t recorded an interception since his rookie year in 2019. Through 3 seasons at Ohio State, he totaled 0 picks.

For the record, Bosa hadn’t recorded any sacks in the game to that point — he entered with 3 so far this season — but an interception will do just fine for the 2022 Defensive Player of the Year and the 4-time Pro Bowler.
