The rally at Ohio State supporting head coach Urban Meyer received somewhat of a celebrity guest on Monday, as Stacy Elliott, the father of former Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott, showed up outside Ohio Stadium.
Elliott, whose son helped guide the Buckeyes to the national championship at the end of the 2014 season, made an appearance to support Meyer, saying the head coach is a “man of integrity.”
“I love Urban Meyer,” Elliott said on camera. “He’s a man of integrity. I know this.”
“I was devastated, I’ve been sick ever since I heard about it,” Elliott responded when asked about how he felt when he learned Meyer was on administrative leave.
Elliott continued to praise Meyer and told Buckeye fans to continue to support him and suggested that Ohio State reinstate their head football coach.
