Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston is having a groundbreaking season. On Saturday, he added to his big-time numbers with a key touchdown in the first half against Iowa.

After stalling out on the first drive of the game, the Huskies battled back down the field and were able to score to tie things up at 7-all against Iowa. That touchdown for Washington came via a connection from Will Rogers to Boston, giving the Husky receiver his 9th touchdown of the year.

That touchdown ties Boston for the FBS lead with 9 receiving touchdowns in his 7th game of the season. The only other player with 9 is San Jose State’s Nick Nash while UNLV star Ricky White III also has 8 entering Week 7.

Entering this season, Boston had just 7 catches for 66 yards in his career while sitting behind a loaded group of receivers. However, he’s already surpassed all those numbers in a major way.

Boston entered the weekend 3rd in the Big Ten with 492 receiving yards, and he continues to lead a loaded group of conference receivers with his 9th touchdown of the season. Ohio State phenom Jeremiah Smith and Illinois receiver Pat Bryant are the next closest players with 6.
