Tyler Warren snaps the ball, catches TD on wild trick-play masterpiece for Penn State

Tyler Warren can do just about everything on a football field, and Penn State’s star tight end is trying to check all the boxes in Week 7.
In the first half of action against USC, Warren threw a pass (1-for-1 for 9 yards), carried the ball for 4 yards and was Penn State’s leading receiver by a wide margin. He added to his receiving tally in the 2nd half but in a very unique way.
The play began with a massive shift that resulted in an unbalanced line and Warren actually over the ball as the snapper at the very edge of the line. After snapping the ball to backup QB Beau Pribula, Warren took off down field and Pribula threw a backwards pass out wide to Drew Allar.
Considering the wackiness of the design and execution, USC’s defense actually defended the play pretty well with a man in coverage on Warren. But Allar’s pass was a beautiful deep ball and allowed Warren to show off his receiving abilities over the top of the defender.

Warren has been terrorizing USC’s defense all game long as the leading receiver with 11 catches for 140 yards and a touchdown — and that’s with the game midway through the 3rd quarter. He has also lined up at tight end, wide receiver, quarterback, running back, and now he can add center to the list.
