James Franklin f-bomb caught on live television after Penn State’s game-winning OT FG vs. USC

James Franklin had quite a candid moment after Penn State escaped USC with a 33-30 overtime win at USC, thanks to a 36-yard overtime field goal from Ryan Barker.
The Nittany Lions will be counting themselves very fortunate to get the win in this one: they trailed the Trojans 20-6 at halftime but fought back to tie things at 20 with less than 5 minutes remaining in the third quarter. The two teams then battled back and forth before Drew Allar’s touchdown pass tied things at 30 with less than 3 minutes to go in regulation.
The Trojans’ Michael Lantz would eventually miss to the left from 45 yards out before Barker made his attempt to end it. The game was on CBS and, as is commonplace, sideline reporter Jenny Dell chatted with Franklin to get his thoughts on the win.
What Dell didn’t expect was this from Franklin as he congratulated his kicker. Take a listen:
"Are you kidding me? Huh? Fucking awesome."

That’s certainly one way to put it.
Either way, Penn State is 6-0. Franklin’s team hasn’t had the prettiest path to that point, but they’ll take Saturday’s result heading into a flight back to Pennsylvania and an open week.
Meanwhile, questions will continue to swirl around Lincoln Riley. The Trojans are a highly disappointing 3-3, and just 11-8 over their last 19 games dating back to last season.
