Curt Cignetti says IU has the tools to handle national exposure: ‘That’s my job’

Curt Cignetti has been a winner wherever he has coached during his career, and that is once again the case in his first year at Indiana. Cignetti and the Hoosiers are currently 6-0 coming off their bye, and they are starting to receive national recognition as they prepare to host Nebraska this weekend.
Big Noon Kickoff will be in Bloomington on Saturday for the big game against the Cornhuskers, and Cignetti said its on him and the team to handle all the exposure.

“We have enough maturity, good leadership and experience on this football team,” Cignetti said. “I’m confident we can handle that. But, that’s my job too. It’s about us performing as well as we’re capable of performing, and giving the crowd a reason to (get excited).”
The team had a bye last week, but Cignetti made sure the team took advantage of that time to get better.

Both Indiana and Nebraska have a huge opportunity to pick up a statement win on Saturday. The Hoosiers are 6-0, while the Cornhuskers enter this game at 5-1.
Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET and the game will be on FOX.
