The junior defensive end is in his second season with the Trojans. A former 5-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite, Lucas began his career at Texas A&M.
Lucas transferred to USC ahead of the 2023 campaign. In his first season playing for Riley’s squad, he appeared in all 13 games, making 1 start. Lucas finished the 2023 season with 10 tackles, including 3.5 for loss.
Lucas was off to a strong start in 2024, having recorded 16 tackles, including 5 solo stops. Even though Lucas left the Penn State game early due to the leg injury, it was his most productive outing of the season with 6 tackles, including 3 solo.
The Trojans have endured a rough first season in the Big Ten, dropping 3 of the last 4 conference contests. USC will look to get back on track at Maryland on Saturday.
