We’ve made it to Week 8 of the college football season, and a full Saturday of Big Ten football is ahead!
The B1G’s Week 8 began Friday night with No. 2 Oregon on the road at Purdue. The Ducks cruised to a 35-0 victory over the Boilermakers, dominating from start to finish.
Of the 6 Saturday B1G games, 3 are early kicks.
Nebraska’s trip to Indiana headlines the early slate as the Big Noon game. The Hoosiers are one of college football’s biggest surprises, as Curt Cignetti’s team has notched a 6-0 start. Matt Rhule’s Huskers are 5-1, having only dropped the overtime game against Illinois.
Wisconsin arrives to Northwestern having won its last 2 B1G games by a combined total of 94-13. The Wildcats are 3-3 after a Week 7 win on the road at Maryland.
The third nooner is a “footprint game.” UCLA makes the long trip to Rutgers as the Bruins and Scarlet Knights tangle in Piscataway.
Michigan at Illinois, the only conference matchup with 2 ranked teams, is in the CBS spotlight. The Wolverines are favored, even though the Illini have the better record and are at home.
Also in the afternoon, USC visits Maryland. The Trojans hope to snap their losing skid and get back in the win column.
Saturday’s slate wraps up with Iowa at Michigan State in the NBC showcase slot.
Here’s the full B1G schedule for Saturday:
