Everyone expected former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley to have an instant impact for the New York Giants this year. It’s the reason he was the second overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
But even the Giants couldn’t have expected their new star back to make an impact this quickly.
On the first play of a preseason matchup between the Giants and the Browns, Barkley took a simple handoff, made a few of his patented juke moves and sprinted for a 40-yard gain to begin his NFL career.
Giants fans are already salivating.
It took 30 seconds for Barkley to prove to New York that he’s the real deal. He’s going to be really fun to watch on Sundays this fall.
