Sherrone Moore knows his offense has plenty of work to do. That’s especially true at the quarterback position where Michigan has used a trio of players with limited success for each.

Jack Tuttle was the last player to try his hand with the offense, but even the veteran making his first start of the season struggled against Illinois. He turned the ball over twice, including a lethal interception in the red zone, as Michigan lost with just 7 points scored.

As for who will be QB1 between Tuttle, Davis Warren and Alex Orji, Moore simply said “we’ll see” at his weekly press conference. The head coach also said taking care of the ball has to be a top priority.

Of Michigan’s 3 QBs, Orji has seen the most playing time after appearing in 6 games this season. He only has 1 interception (the lowest of the group) but has been limited in his options to throw the ball and is completing just 53.5% of his passes.

Warren has been the most turnover-prone of the group with 6 interceptions while Tuttle has 4 total turnovers in his 2 games played. Michigan is 112th nationally so far this season with 21.1 points per game offensively as a result.

Michigan also has Jadyn Davis, a 4-star freshman, on the roster, but he has not been given an opportunity to play with the first-team offense this season. Asked about what it will take to see Davis on the field, Moore pointed to a need to continue learning the playbook and improving his strength.
