Former Nebraska K Drew Brown has a new NFL opportunity.

Kicking troubles in Tampa Bay have resulted in the Buccaneers working out Brown and two other kickers. According to the report, the workouts were set before Thursday night’s preseason games, but Brown and the other kickers were probably helped by the fact that Tampa Bay kicker Chandler Catanzaro missed an extra point and a 53-yard field goal against Miami. (He did make field goals of 27 and 26 yards).

Brown spent some time in New York Giants minicamp in April, but was released.

Brown completed 59 field goals in his Nebraska, the second most in school history. He set a first-half record when he made five against Southern Miss.
