Another report has surfaced involving former Ohio State assistant coach Zach Smith, this time detailing a 2013 arrest.

According to Kyle Rowland of the Toledo Blade, Smith was also arrested in 2013 for an OVI. Smith appeared to be under the influence but refused a breathalyzer. He was initially pulled over for speeding.

Rowland obtained records from the Dublin Police, which arrested Smith in 2013. According to the report, the arresting officer “observed Smith’s eyes to be red and glassy. There was a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle.”

Smith was arrested in 2009 and 2015 on alleged domestic violence incidents. The 2013 arrest went unreported.

Smith was fired by Ohio State shortly after a report surfaced regarding a 2015 domestic violence incident that occurred while on staff. He was a longtime member of Urban Meyer’s coaching staff at Florida and Ohio State.

According to The Columbus Dispatch, Smith was planning to meet with Ohio State to ask to be reinstated as the wide receivers coach.
