Woody Marks and the USC Trojans got a much needed win on Saturday night as they knocked off Nebraska 28-20 to move to 5-5 on the season.

Marks had a big day running the ball, as he finished with 19 carries for a season-high 146 yards. He has rushed for at least 100 yards in his last 2 games, and has done that 6 times this year. With that performance, he passed the 1,000-yard rushing mark on the season.

He became the first running back in the Lincoln Riley era to reach that mark, and the first Trojan to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards since Ronald Jones in 2017.

It wasn’t just rushing the ball on Saturday where Marks made his presence felt, as he was tied for a team-high 6 catches on Saturday.

Marks spent the first four years of his college football career at Mississippi State, where he rushed for 1,883 yards and 22 touchdowns. During the 2022 season as a Bulldog, he had 582 yards and 9 touchdowns.

The Trojans needed this game in a big way, as they entered Saturday needing to win 2 of their final 3 games to become bowl eligible. USC will play next week at UCLA, and will finish the season at home against Notre Dame.
