Ohio State improved to 9-1 with a blowout win over Northwestern in Chicago on Saturday.
Ryan Day and the Buckeyes staff can celebrate some good news from the recruiting trail, too: Jaeden Ricketts, a wide receiver from Pataskala, Ohio (just outside of Columbus), committed to the program on Saturday evening. The 3-star player joins fellow WR Chris Henry Jr., the son of the late former Cincinnati Bengals wideout, in Ohio State’s 2026 class.
Ricketts currently holds 10 offers: apart from Ohio State, that list includes Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Illinois, Indiana, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Ohio, and Toledo. The Buckeyes extended their offer in June, leading to his pledge on Saturday.
Hudl has a compilation of highlights for Ricketts, which you can view below:
As for the current Buckeyes, their win over the Wildcats on Saturday moved them to 6-1 in the Big Ten. They are still a half-game behind Indiana and Oregon, who have matching 7-0 conference records.
The Buckeyes and Hoosiers meet at Ohio Stadium in Columbus in Week 13 for a massive Top 5 matchup. The winner of that one will have an inside track to make the Big Ten Championship.
