The Urban Meyer investigation is winding down now, and we’re only days away from hearing the final result.

Meyer has been on paid administrative leave for two weeks now, and a decision is certainly near. Ohio State announced on August 5 that the investigation would be complete within two weeks.

The attorney for former Ohio State WRs coach Zach Smith, Brad Koffel, has made a prediction on what will happen to Meyer, and Koffel believes that OSU will announce the news Friday, August 17, that “there’s no smoking gun to fire Coach Meyer or Gene Smith.” He also added that he has no inside information.

Kevin Noon shared Koffel’s Facebook post.

The sentiment now is that Meyer will return as the head coach of the Buckeyes this season, but there could be a suspension involved, at least Vegas thinks so anyway.
