Oregon pulled off another big-time recruiting win in a battle with Auburn and Ohio State for a 5-star recruit.

Na’eem Offord quickly tossed out the possibility of joining Auburn on National Signing Day. He did so quite literally, tossing the hat out as he surprisingly chose to commit to Oregon, flipping from Ohio State.

Up until this point in which Offord has made his final decision, it was considered a tight three-way race between Auburn, Ohio State and Oregon.

The 5-star prospect chooses to play out his college career with the Ducks over a number of prestigious programs, including Georgia, Ole Miss, LSU, Penn State, Michigan, Miami, Texas, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Missouri, Nebraska, USC, Tennessee, Florida State and Clemson, among others.

According to the 247Sports Composite, the cornerback out of Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama is listed as the No. 2 overall player at his position in the class, the No. 1 recruit in the state of Alabama and the No. 11 overall player in the class.

The Oregon recruiting class for this cycle now sits within the top-5 in the nation, with some networks pinning the Ducks’ group as the second-best in the nation. That is not a surprising development in recruiting with the success the undefeated Ducks have had this year as the No. 1 team in college football with the very real ability to make it to the national title game.
