Nick Saban ended a historic coaching career last offseason and joined the College GameDay crew. The legendary coach has seamlessly transitioned to his new career path and is known for his unique sayings.
During rivalry week, several teams attempted to plant their flags on their opponent’s logos. This action caused an uproar with several teams brawling as a result. Michigan and Ohio State were involved in one of those brawls and both schools were fined $100,000 as a result.
On Saturday, Saban weighed in on the topic and delivered a classic line with an expletive.
“To fine these schools $100,000 is like worrying about mouse manure when you’re up to ears in elephant s**t,” said Saban.
This is just one example of the unique analogies that Saban is becoming known for. Last month, the coach had social media ablaze after using another expletive on TV.
On Saturday, Saban also said that he would be upset if his team planted their flag in another team’s field.
“I think that’s disrespectful and doesn’t show much sportsmanship,” said the coach. “You want to defeat the other team, but this disrespect that everybody wants to show is probably not a good part of the game.”
Michigan-Ohio State, North Carolina-NC State, and Florida-Florida State were some of the games that had flag-planting drama in Week 14. The scene in Columbus was especially bad as police officers had to use pepper spray to disperse the mob of players.
GameDay is in Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game. The Bulldogs and Longhorns will kick off at 4:00 p.m. ET.
