It looks like Marcus Cromartie will get a chance to make an NFL roster this season.
The former DB for the Wisconsin Badgers has bounced around the NFL since finishing his college career in 2012. He most recently appeared with the Houston Texans last season after appearing in 21 games for the San Francisco 49ers from 2014-2016.
Now, Cromartie has moved on once again. The Detroit Lions announced Sunday that they have signed him and waived injured safety Stefan McClure. The team shared the announcement on Twitter:

It will likely be a tough battle for Cromartie to make the Lions’ roster, but he will at least get the opportunity to show what he can bring to the team.
Cromartie finished his Wisconsin career with 113 tackles, an interception, and a fumble recovery. The Badgers were co-champs of the B1G in 2010 and then won back-to-back B1G titles in 2011-2012 during Cromartie’s time with the team.
