Wisconsin kicker cleared to return to practice
Wisconsin kicker Rafael Gaglianone has been cleared to start practice again.
Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported that Gaglianone, who missed two weeks of camp due to a back injury, was cleared to start kicking again. Redshirt freshman Collin Larsh had filled in on field goal duties during his absence.
Gaglianone had a tremendous freshman season for the Badgers in 2014, converting on 19-of-22 field goal attempts. The following year, he was just 18-of-27.
In 2016, Gaglianone converted on 7-of-8 attempts, including a game-winner against LSU at Lambeau Field, before suffering an injury that sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
Last year, he must just two kicks, knocking through 16-of-18 field goals.
Gaglianone has missed just two extra point attempts since 2014 and has made his last 119 attempts.
