WATCH: Penn State player who helped create a foundation receives incredible gift from James Franklin

Penn State offensive lineman Charlie Shuman has done a lot for the community. In New York, he helped create a foundation “Big Helping Little” to help bring awareness and raise funds for a rare disease. Last season, he earned the Public Service Award at the team banquet.
Shuman isn’t a stranger to lending a helping hand.
But Penn State head coach James Franklin wanted to give something to Shuman in return, for his service off the field and his hard work on it. So the Nittany Lions had a surprise waiting for the offensive lineman.
Franklin awarded a scholarship to Shuman, a tremendous gesture by itself. But the head coach also planned to have a family that has been helped by Shuman’s “Big Helping Little” foundation deliver the message.
The video is nothing short of amazing.
