Jared Curtis’s highly-anticipated recruitment is down to 2 schools.

The Nashville product, considered the class of 2026’s No. 2 player on 247Sports’ composite rankings, named Georgia and Oregon as his two finalists, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Per Fawcett, Curtis was set to take official visits to Auburn and South Carolina, but those have been cancelled as he zeroes in on the Bulldogs and Ducks.

Curtis previously committed to play at Georgia on March 23, spurning Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas. But on Oct. 17, he announced via a post on X that he had decommitted, re-opening his recruitment.

“I let them know it just doesn’t seem right or fair to stay committed while checking out other programs,” he posted at the time. “I want people to know where I stand and I’ve learned that making big decisions takes time.”

However, Georgia has remained top of mind as it has emerged as one of Curtis’ top 2 schools. Of course, adding to the intrigue of his recruitment is the relationship between the program’s head coaches as Kirby Smart and his former defensive coordinator, Dan Lanning, look to land the signal caller.

Curtis will be in Eugene the weekend of June 6. He’ll follow that up with an official visit to Athens the weekend of June 13.
