NFL roster moves are a part of training camp, and the one of latest moves is bad news for a former Wisconsin player. The Seattle Seahawks have cut Tanner McEvoy to make room for a new signing.

McEvoy gained experience at safety, running back, quarterback and wide receiver during his Badgers career. He signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2016.

In two seasons with the Seahawks, McEvoy was primarily used on special teams. He played on more than 55 percent of the team’s special teams snaps last season.

McEvoy also saw some playing time on offense. He recorded 14 catches for 253 yards and two touchdowns for Seattle during the previous two seasons.
