Tom Izzo and Michigan State had been on a tear as of late, winning their last 8 games entering the Big Ten Tournament semifinal matchup against Wisconsin on Saturday.
The game was neck-and-neck the entire way, but the Spartans saw their winning streak come to an end as they lost, 77-74.
After the game, Izzo was asked about people telling him that he was never happy, and he told the reporters that it was true. However, Izzo explained it’s because he doesn’t believe Michigan State has accomplished what it should have recently, even saying he needs to do a better job to get the program there.
“I have heard a lot of people in the media, I’ve heard a lot of parents and a lot of players say you’re never happy. You’re damn right,” Izzo said. “I don’t plan on being happy until we accomplish what I think Michigan State University should accomplish. I guess No. 1 on the list, I have to do a better job. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. There will be a staff meeting tonight and we will talk about what’s fresh.”

The Spartans will now wait to hear where they will be headed for the NCAA Tournament, but they figure to be a very high seed. The NCAA Tournament brackets will be announced at 6 p.m. ET on CBS during the Selection Sunday special.
