Maryland has had a whirlwind of an offseason leading into 2018.
With that, Matt Canada is the team’s interim coach and he had a press conference on Tuesday ahead of the Terrapins’ season opener against Texas. The game against the Longhorns is scheduled for a noon kickoff on Saturday at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.
During Canada’s presser, he said that he has decided on who the starting QB will be against Texas, but isn’t willing to announce it to the world just yet:
Interim #Maryland HC Matt Canada said he has decided on his starting quarterback (between Tyrrell Pigrome and Kasim Hill) for the opener vs #Texas, but he's not going to announce who it is yet. Game kicks off SAT at noon ET on @FS1

Kasim Hill, a redshirt freshman, appeared in three games last season before missing the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Hill threw for 230 yards while completing 18-of-21 passes with 2 TD and zero INT.
