Derik Queen has landed a fitting NIL partner.

The Maryland standout, who made the thrilling buzzer-beater to send the Terrapins to the Sweet 16, posted an ad for Dairy Queen on social media. He called the fast food chain “the original DQ” in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Queen has been a force as of late for the Terps. He scored 50 points in 2 Big Ten Tournament games, including 31 in a 1-point loss to Michigan. After a 12-point outing in the opening round win over Grand Canyon, Queen had 17 points in the last-second win over Colorado State.

The Maryland big man will be in the spotlight on Thursday night as 4-seed Maryland faces 1-seed Florida for a spot in the Elite 8. Queen, listed at 6-10, 246 pounds, averages 16.2 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.

The Gators enter the game as 6.5-point favorites at BetMGM Sportsbook, but the Terps may have something to say about that. Maryland is 15-4 in its last 19 games, with 4 losses all coming on game-winning baskets.

Queen and the Terps will do battle with Florida at 7:39 p.m. ET in San Francisco.
