Ohio state lands commitment from 4-star LB/DB Simeon Caldwell

Ohio State has added a blue-chip defender to its 2026 recruiting class.
Simeon Caldwell is the newest Buckeye pledge. OSU went down to Florida to land its latest verbal commitment.
Caldwell broke the news of his Ohio State commitment to Hayes Fawcett of On3, sharing that he is shutting down his recruitment. The sought-after linebacker/safety had also planned visits to USC, Notre Dame and Miami.

Out of The Bolles School, Caldwell is listed as measuring 6-3 and 185 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Caldwell is rated 4-stars, the No. 7 linebacker prospect, No. 12 recruit in the state of Florida and No. 95 player overall in the Class of 2026.
As an established prospect in a talent hotbed, Caldwell attracted interest from coast to coast, collecting 35 scholarship offers. In addition to the schools he had planned to visit, Caldwell also drew interest from Michigan, Georgia, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and Wisconsin.
