The Big Ten’s most recent NCAA Tournament champion: Michigan State remains the most recent Big Ten team to win March Madness. The Spartans won March Madness in 2000. (Maryland won the 2002 NCAA Tournament — beating Indiana in the final — but the Terrapins were in the ACC at the time.)
