Ohio State unveils 2024 national championship rings during spring game

Ohio State is back inside Ohio Stadium, playing in front of fans for the first time since capturing the 2024 national championship! Saturday’s spring game caps the annual spring practice session, but this one includes a bit more importance.
During the event, Ohio State handed out the full national championship rings for the 2024 season at a break in the action. A host of stalwarts from last year’s team, including Will Howard, Jack Sawyer, Emeka Egbuka and Cody Simon, were back to be honored and receive their rings, much to the delight of fans.
The rings for Ohio State were also a trifecta with every Buckeye player and coach receiving 3 distinct rings for last year’s accomplishments. Each ring represents a specific game during the run through the College Football Playoff.
One ring symbolizes the Rose Bowl win over Oregon, one ring symbolizes the Cotton Bowl win over Texas, and one ring symbolizes the title game victory over Notre Dame.
The most ostentatious of the rings commemorates the win over the Fighting Irish with the top portion of the ring shaped like Ohio Stadium’s legendary Horseshoe. “Ohio State” sits atop the scarlet “Block O” that is also placed on top of the CFP trophy with “National Champions 2024” spelled out around the top layer with stones.
Here is a look at the trifecta:

Last year’s national championship goes down as Ohio State’s first since 2014 and the first under the direction of head coach Ryan Day. Now, the Buckeyes are preparing to make a run at a back-to-back title in 2025.
