Ohio State’s 2026 recruiting class is starting to take shape after its national title run. On Tuesday, the Buckeyes secured a key flip of another elite wide receiver prospect for Brian Hartline to work with.

The player is Brock Boyd, a 4-star wide receiver out of Southlake Carroll High School in Texas. Boyd had been committed to TCU since last summer, but he confirmed the flip on social media.

Brock is the younger brother of Brady Boyd, a wide receiver who began his career at Minnesota before transferring to Texas Tech. The 247 Sports composite rates the younger Boyd as a 4-star recruit and the No. 58 WR in the country for the class of 2026. Boyd also competes in track and field.

Boyd becomes the 11th hard commitment for Ohio State in the 2026 recruiting class, and he’s the 3rd wide receiver commitment for Brian Hartline. He joins a group for the Buckeyes that includes 5-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. and 4-star WR Jaeden Ricketts.

Hartline’s work under Ryan Day has been extraordinary to date, and he continues to keep the results flowing as he embarks on a brand-new challenge this season. This will be his first as the primary play-caller for Ohio State.
