USC made a significant addition to its 2026 recruiting class on Monday.
The Trojans landed a commitment from 3-star offensive lineman Kannon Smith, who also had offers from programs like Oregon and Penn State.
He shared the news of his commitment with On3’s Hayes Fawcett:
Smith is a big-time offensive line talent out of Littleton, Colorado. He’s the No. 451 overall player and the No. 39 offensive tackle in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
In addition to Oregon and Penn State, Smith also chose USC over offers from programs like Michigan, UCLA, Alabama, Ohio State and plenty more. Smith is listed at 6-foot-5, 260 pounds. With that kind of an offer list, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Smith earn 4-star status before the end of the 2026 recruiting cycle.
USC’s work in the 2026 high school recruiting class appears to be nearly finished with roughly 7 months to go before the Early Signing Period. The Trojans already have 23 commits in this class, which ranks No. 1 nationally per 247Sports Composite rankings.
The class includes commitments from 5 offensive lineman so far, with Smith being the latest to join the fold.
