WATCH: Maryland hype video brings it back to football for Terps

Getting back to actual football will have to feel great for fans of the Maryland Terrapins, though it’s going to be hard to truly get past all the controversy of this off season in College Park.
That’s especially true considering the shadow of head coach DJ Durkin, who’s currently on administrative leave after the death of offensive lineman Jordan McNair this offseason and a damning ESPN piece highlighting a potentially dangerous environment around the Maryland football team.
So yeah, it will be nice to get back to football for the Terps, even with interim head coach Matt Canada leading the way.
On the line this weekend in a huge opening-season clash against the No. 23 Texas Longhorns at FedExField.
This will be a revenge game of sorts for Texas so Maryland will have to be as focused as can be. Last season, the Terps traveled down to Texas and handily beat the Longhorns 51-41, so Tom Herman and his crew will be looking to take advantage of a potentially distracted Terrapin team.
Is Maryland ready for this weekend? That’s the big question for the Terrapins. If you were to believe this hype video released at the start of game-week, though, Maryland seems to be excited and focused on getting back to football.
The Terps are ready to play, and if they’re ready enough they just may repeat last season’s results against a good Texas squad:
