Penn State lands 2026 commitment from 4-star WR Davion Brown

Penn State has picked up a new commitment for its 2026 recruiting class.

Davion Brown, a blue-chip wide receiver from Virginia, announced Monday evening that he has committed to play for James Franklin’s Nittany Lions. Brown shared the big news on social media.

Out of Richmond (Virginia) Trinity Episcopal School, Brown is listed as measuring 6-1 and 195 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Brown is rated 4-stars, the No. 6 player in the state of Virginia, No. 29 wide receiver and No. 186 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.

Brown drew notable interest during his recruitment. He collected scholarship offers from 32 programs, including Auburn, Florida State, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina and Michigan State.

Summer visit season is coming up, and Brown had planned to check out Penn State, Georgia, Duke and Virginia Tech over the next few weeks. On Monday, however, he feel like it was time to commit to play for PSU.

It was something I had been feeling for a minute,” Brown told 247Sports. “It felt like home and it was just the place I wanted to be.

With Brown on board, Penn State now has 17 commitments in its 2026 recruiting class, which ranks No. 4 nationally on the Composite. Fans can get a preview of what he brings to State College by checking out his highlights in the video below via Hudl:
